In recent years, it has become increasingly important for casters and producers to get to know artists through a moving image when applying for a job.
For this purpose, you can provide a presentation video in your CV, in which the respective artist seeker can see your gestures, facial expressions, body language, hear your voice and thus better determine your type to see for which roles you are suitable.
The important thing here is that you are seen and understood well and it should be 30 to 60 seconds maximum.
This is how you can prepare:
- Find a bright, quiet room with a plain-colored wall as a background.
- Get a good digital camera, it can also be a good cell phone camera.
- Get a tripod or a person who can point the camera at you.
- The image should be cropped to show your head and the upper part of your torso, as in a portrait photo.
- Think about what you want to say
You can show this in your presentation video:
- Introduce yourself by name, age and where you're located
- What would you like to do in general in the future, what kind of projects are you interested in?
- Show both side portraits and your hands from the front and the back
- Say goodbye with an invitation to get in touch with you if they are interested
When you have finished your video, upload it to your StagePool CV under "Media".
This way, all casters and producers can get a good first impression when they look at your CV.
We wish you good luck for your applications!
